Introduction:
Mall23 allows customers to review products within the store. This is not a requirement, and the administrator or product manager may disable this. Alternatively, the product manager may choose to allow customers to review products, but, before their reviews appear on the product page, it must be approved. This approval process is called moderation.
Moderate Reviews:
When adding or editing products, the product manager may choose to enable moderation. If this is enabled, and, a customer enters a review, the manager must approve it. To approve or decline the review, log into the manager and click on Product Manager. From there, click on Products and in the top navigation, Moderate Reviews.
All reviews will be listed on this page. To moderate a review:
- Click the review
- The system will display the review and product information.
- Either approve or decline the review.
If you need to decline a previously approved review, simply re-edit that review and decline it.
When a customer reviews a product that has been marked as requiring reviews to be moderated, a note telling them that their review will appear as soon as it's been reviewed (otherwise the review appears instantly). Customers can only review each product once. If a customer is logged in, this is tracked by their internal customer ID. If the customer is not logged in, this is tracked by the email address they enter into the review.
