He began development on the Internet in 1993 and has over two decades of programming experience. With the last ten years dedicated to development and research on social networks, online communities and eCommerce, Dean has unparalleled and unique experience in the field.


His development specialties included: portal, social network and community design and development, eCommerce systems, Collaborative filtering, the AJAX paradigm, core framework, and scalable architectural development.

    Mall23 iTrackmine Hotcakes Poker Jetsetter

    Mall23 is a full-featured eCommerce solution. Koloseum.com is an example implementation. Mall23 is being used on many websites.
    iTrackmine is a social collection website. Over 7 million items in its custom database. Includes the full social network feature set. Full mobile access with both XHTML and iPhone/Android versions. Custom recommendation engine built using Trust System and Collaborative Filtering techniques.

  • Hotcakes Demo
    The demo only shows the customer-facing site. It shows one dealer. I wrote the "fisheye" (Javascript/AJAX/JQuery) from scratch (no plugin). It pulls all item data from the database via AJAX. Emails and links don't work (this is only a demo).

    Hotcakes is a simple but powerful service that allows customers to move seamlessly from a manufacturer’s site to the local reseller’s site they would be most likely to purchase from.
